The price of the existing housing is rising again in Ile-de-France!

Despite the economic crisis, the sales prices of existing housing rose 2.5% in the Paris and its suburbs in first quarter 2010 as compared to the fourth quarter 2009, announced on Thursday the Chamber of Notaries of the region.

According to notaries, this strong growth portends a new outbreak in 2010, confirming once again that housing prices rose much faster than the income in France since 2000.

“The real estate offers are traded at a crazy speed. It is now easier to find a buyer than a tenant”, says Thierry Delesalle, chairman of the board of the real estate market trends. For him, “if the rise continues, we expect central Paris to have price increase greater than 10%” over the whole year 2010, well beyond inflation.
